Cigar Review: Fuente Fuente Forbbiden X

Opus X, is it worth the hype? Are these cigars the grand jewel of smokes?

My answer is YES!!!

I was with a few friends tonight to enjoy an evening of cigars, chat and drinks. I then found we would be smoking this amazing cigar, an Opus X. I was shocked that the lounge had them and I knew I was in for a treat. Of course, I played it cool around the fellas, but inside I was ecstatic to try one of these. I can honestly say that it was the best I ever had. The tobacco is from the highest grade, and you can tell from that very first puff. The construction starting with the wrapper is beyond perfect.

As you draw that first puff, the draw itself is not too tight, not too loose, just right. The flavor notes I got were a mix of coffee beans, dried fruit, cinnamon and a zest of wood. The second 3rd still had the coffee, but then I started to get more of a cocoa with pepper into the blend. This flavor combo extended into the remainder of the cigar. These Flavors were robust and delicious. I was paring with a classic old fashion. This was perfect mix with the dried fruit flavor I was tasting. As I reveled in this cigar, now living up to its hype, each draw perfect and pleasant. I was truly saddened once making it through the final 3rd. If I find this cigar again, it is well worth it to purchase. I HIGHLY recommend it. This is truly a flawless cigar.
